Saddam?

by Jowie 14. December 2003 19:00

We all know the US military has DNA samples from Saddam. Maybe they just cloaned him, threw him in that hole and "captured" him...

by Jowie 13. October 2002 00:03

Yea ok so I'm sitting here watching the Discovery channel, a show about crop circles. Showing how they can be hoaxed, that there seems to be some connections to the military, etc. Well, you know what it is? There are those that exist in our society that know about the intelligent plants and are hoaxing these messages to the aliens trying to counter the plant's real messages, which are cries for help.

Ok, I've figured it out.

by Jowie 12. October 2002 07:03

Ok, I've figured it out. Crop circles are not aliens trying to communicate with us. It is the crops trying to communicate with aliens. That?s right, the crops are sick of us humans eating them, and are crying out to the aliens for release. Yup, you heard it here first. The earth has intelligent plants...

By now most everyone with

by Jowie 28. September 2002 19:44

By now most everyone with a little technical knowledge had heard of the damn Sun/Microsoft java dispute. If not read up on it here. Anyhow, also recently a virus hoax has been spreading through email, and actually, I think it first hit over a year ago, but has recently resurfaced. You know the one, the teddybear virus? It tells you to delete the file called Jdbgmgr.exe. Well don't. Reason being, if you have WinXP or any other MS OS that didn't include the MS Java VM, you won't be able to get it back. Well, won't be able to get it back without people like me. Click here to download the MS Java VM for WinXP. In most cases, most users don't even need the file. Only java developers using MS VJ++ do. Read Q322933 for more info. Anyhow, my point being, the origin of the hoax email. I bet my ass that it was Sun who sent it out knowing that Microsoft would be removing the downloads for the VM because of the lawsuit they brought up. Makes ya think huh? Make people delete a file that they can't get back since they can't download it anymore, making people believe that they need to instead go install the Sun Java VM. Interesting eh?

07-08-2003 Edit:

After you download the file, rename the extention back to .exe, then run it to install the MS Java VM.

Wind River OS zooms onto

by Jowie 6. June 2002 01:39
Wind River OS zooms onto racetracks. I find the following part of the article interesting...
The system controls the engine and can wirelessly transmit data to pit crews monitoring the car's performance. The technology also provides a foundation for a new FIA-approved development for the 2002 racing season: Pit crews now are permitted to send electronic commands to the car to change its configuration--such as suspension response or oxygen intake.

In the Magneti Marelli device, this data exchange takes place using TCP/IP, the networking standard that underlies the Internet.
Notice how they say that pit crews are going to be able to change in car settings of the race cars wirelessly? And that they use the TCP/IP protocol to do so? I can already see it now, hackers, sitting in the stands feverishly typing away at their laptops, being paid to sabotoge a competitors car. And when it happens, remember, you read it here first!
